I have been too busy with projects to keep this page up to date for a very long time, and I don’t work enough yet to pay someone to do the work for me, so I humbly apologize! Winter 2008 Update:
Although I haven't completely rebuilt my house yet, I was able to replace some of the equipment I need to work as a musician. Since all my backing tracks for my shows were lost, I won't be able to do the same acts I had done previously, so I am working with other bands as a guitarist and vocalist. On October 21, 2007, Southern California was hit with one of the worst firestorms in history. Thousands of homes and buildings were destroyed, and unfortunately, my house and the adjacent Audio Barn recording studio were among those that were destroyed. Because I lost all of my musical equipment, I did not perform for many months after the fire while I was replacing some of my instruments. My backing tracks for my solo act had taken over ten years to record, so it is not likely that I will ever perform any the the shows I have been doing from 2004 to 2007. This is my new "neighborhood bar." I discovered that this is a fun place to hang out after work or on weekends. Nice staff, nice patrons, lots of desire to relax and have fun. I've been working here since January, and each time has been a fun show. I've been working in some classic `60's rock and soul songs that you jost don't get a chance to hear anywhere else. I think you'll like the new songs. I also will be playing a few new songs I've written recently. Please try to come - It will be fun. Bring some friends to keep you company.
This is a cocktail lounge with full bar, stage and dance floor, but no food served. If you get hungry, there is a taco shop next door. If you like draft beer, one of the best drink deals are the pitchers of beer.

I had an opportunity to play with "Flashback" on New Year's Eve out at the Potrero Cafe. Unfortunately, I was not feeling well at the time and could only play for about an hour. In the meantime, the band has asked me to play a few more gigs with them, so come out this weekend and join in on the fun.
The band, an Anglo-Mexican hybrid, plays a nice mix of classic rock (`50'-`60's and `70's), Latin ballads, Tex-Mex, Latin Rock, Surf, and some of the best blues jams this side of Austin. Think of it as a cross between Clapton and Santana, and you can see why I have so much fun playing lead guitar with these guys!

If you know Otis, or listen to his show on KSDS Jazz-88 radio, you will definately want to be here to wish him well as he retires from his "day job" in order to devote more time to his radio career. Otis is a living, breathing "encyclopedia" of jazz. Being a musician himself (congas), he has developed an ear for tasteful music, and likes to feature such selections on his radio show. His own record and CD collection is extensive, and his knowledge of jazz is apparent. Otis has often been invited to speak to community groups and organizations about the history of jazz music or the development of a style of jazz. Come down and let Otis know how much you enjoy his radio show!.

We had the first Sunday brunch last week on the 10th, and everyone had a great time! Bring an appetite, because the food keeps coming! Last week, we started with jumbo shrimp cocktail (yummy!), then we had some delicious biscuits & gravy. Then a huge plate arrived full of eggs, bacon, sausage and a nice breakfast steak, cooked just right. Next course was a pasta salad (the best pasta salad I'd ever eaten - make sure you save room for it) accompanied by a plate of sliced tomatoes with cottage cheese. And if you still have room, look for a nice fruit cup to finish off this huge meal. All this for only $18.95, and of course you can take home any leftovers. Or if you don't feel like eating, join us for a coffee, tea, beer or wine (a full bar should be coming in the future). Reservations are recommended. This is my favorite Italian restaurant - the food is very tasty and the recipes are unique. Stefanos is promoting a summer music series and will have entertainment on their 10,000 square foot outdoor patio "under the stars" every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings in addition to the Sunday brunch.
I will be playing a variety of music for both listening and dancing. If you want the fun to continue, the duo "Caribbean Cowboys" will be playing Sunday evenings from 5:30-8:30.
Directions from San Diego:
- Highway 94 to Rancho San Diego, turn right (by Hooley's Restaurant and Target store) to stay on Highway 94 East
- First town on 94E is Steele Canyon - you'll see the new high school - keep going
- Continue through the traffic signal at 7-11 store, but only when light is green!
- When you enter Jamul, look for Simpson's Nursery at the stop light in the center of town
- Follow the curve in the highway around the nursery - slow down when the road gets straight again
- Stefanos is on the right just past Simpson's Nursery - parking in the rear
