The “Rightside Band – “Living On The Rightside” – May 2010

Description: Description: faithful

I had the pleasure of recording and performing with this excellent Christian Country Rock group from 2009 until 2011. They band had released four albums previous to this one. You can review the songs or purchase the CD at http://rightsideband.com/store.html.

This CD is an exciting combination of four lead vocal parts in solo and harmony combined with some talented instrumental work from the rhythm section. The musicians are all seasoned professionals, and the singers work well together to present a new “West Coast” style that is a cross between Southern Gospel Quartet music and the newer sounds of trios and country artists, such as The Gaither Vocal Band, Lisa Daggs, Legacy Five, Gordon Mote and The Booth Brothers. Some of my favorite moments on the CD are “The Eagle Song” with its ethereal  vocal harmonies, “I’m Loving Life,” which jumps right out and rocks you, and the touching story behind “Wine Into Water,” in which Linda comes out with one of the best vocals on the album.

If you like Christian music, gospel music, or country rock, and especially if you like all three styles, then you will not be disappointed with this CD.
